We read the Kahnawake Gaming Commission's own permit register, matched it against the licence texts printed in eight casinos' terms, and tested what the licence does for a player in practice. Here is what the register says about the holders of its various permits, and what those permits actually cover.

What the Kahnawake Gaming Commission Licenses
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission is based in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke, which is across the river from Montreal. The Commission has had jurisdiction over gaming in this Territory since the late 1990s. The regulations of the Territory define five different categories of permit that it can issue, and knowing which is which turns the register from a name list into a map.
The Interactive Gaming Licence goes to the hosting operation itself. The permit a player actually meets is the Client Provider Authorization, which is held by the company that is operating the casino website. Around those two sit the Key Person Licence for the people that run the casinos, the Casino Software Provider Authorization for the software providers, and then the Live Dealer Studio Authorization for those that operate live-table casinos. When a casino footer says it is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, a Client Provider Authorization number should be sitting next to the claim.
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission Casinos Canadians Play
Strip the register back to the individual brands Canadians search for and there are only two companies that hold nearly all of the permits that matter to Canadian players. The Kahnawake Commission lists Baytree Interactive Limited as operating 16 casino websites, while the second largest operator, Fresh Horizons Ltd, operates 13 websites. These licence texts also become specific about the storefront to which they are issued. Casino Classic's licence states that the company is "authorized to operate casinoclassic.casino", while each of the brand's sibling sites gets its own domain within the same clause. So one casino licence allows for multiple brand storefronts to operate under it, which is why four casinos share one lobby without any of them borrowing a licence.
How to Verify a Kahnawake Casino Licence
1. Read the terms. A licensed casino names its operating company and licence number in its own legal text. All eight casinos above print theirs; a site that will not name its permit has failed the check already.
2. Find the company on the register. The Commission's permit-holders page at gamingcommission.ca lists every current holder. Baytree Interactive and Fresh Horizons both appear, with their website counts, exactly as their casinos claim.
3. Click the logo. The Commission runs a Logo Certification Program: the KGC mark in a licensed casino's footer links back to a verification page confirming the site is properly licensed. It is the fastest of the three checks and the hardest to fake.

What a Kahnawake Licence Covers, and What It Leaves Open
The licence also tells you who the operator is, and where they are authorized and answerable. Along with requiring age and identity checks before anyone plays, the Kahnawake Commission publishes the regulations it works to, takes in complaints sent to complaints@gamingcommission.ca, and each of the Casino Rewards brands also permits customers an alternative route to resolve any dispute with the brand, through eCOGRA.
What the permit leaves open is everything commercial. The bonus play-throughs, the withdrawal caps, the holds on pending wins, even the responsible gambling tools, all fall under the operator's own terms. As our accounts show, two holders of the same kind of permit can run very different rulebooks. The Baytree casinos put deposit limits directly in the cashier and exempt progressive wins from their withdrawal caps. Three checks, two minutes. Open the casino's terms of service to find the operating company and licence number. Find that company on the permit-holders page at gamingcommission.ca. Click on the Commission's logo in the casino's website footer. That logo is part of a certification program that shows the casino is properly licensed. How do I complain about a Kahnawake casino?
Contact the casino's own customer support department first and keep the records of your correspondence with them. If that does not work, file a complaint with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission at complaints@gamingcommission.ca. The Commission reviews complaints under the procedures set out in its regulations.
