Dean Halvorsen
Every casino page on JackpotCasinos is the work of one reviewer, working one way: open a real account, read every published term, and photograph what the lobby and cashier actually show a Canadian player. This page explains who does that and how.
Who Reviews the Casinos Here
Dean Halvorsen runs JackpotCasinos from Calgary, which matters more than it sounds: every account this site holds was registered from an Alberta connection, so every screenshot, deposit minimum and bonus figure you see is what a casino actually serves a player in Canada, outside the Ontario regulated market.
His routine is unglamorous on purpose. A review here starts in the terms and conditions, moves to the cashier with real amounts typed into every deposit method, and ends with the lobby's own game feed pulled and counted. If a casino's marketing says 450 games and its lobby serves 2,001, both numbers end up on the page, with the screenshot to prove it.
Dean does not accept payment to change a score, and this site never repeats a casino's claim it could not check. Where checking was impossible, the page says so: LeoVegas refused our connection, so its page carries no score at all.
How Every Review Is Made
- Real accountsRegistered from Alberta, in our own name
- TermsRead in full, quoted verbatim
- CashiersMinimums verified by typing amounts
- Game countsPulled from the lobby's own feed
- ScreenshotsDesktop and mobile, as served to us
- No access, no scoreCasinos we cannot enter are not rated
Scores come from six weighted dimensions: banking, game variety, trust and safety, entry price, jackpot range and bonus terms. The jackpot range weighting is why a 192-game progressive library outranks a 7-game one here even when the smaller casino has a cheaper ticket. Affiliate links pay this site's bills and are disclosed on every page; the scores were set from the evidence before any partnership existed, and no partnership moves them.
Every Review on This Site
| Casino | Score | The short version |
|---|---|---|
| Jackpot City | 4.2 | 192 jackpot games and the fine print that weights them 0% |
| Spin Casino | 4.1 | The same product as Jackpot City, proven feed to feed |
| Royal Vegas | 4.0 | A payout page with no percentages, so we printed them |
| Ruby Fortune | 3.9 | The public site describes a different casino than the login |
| Zodiac Casino | 3.4 | What 80 chances for $1 is actually worth, from the terms |
| Casino Classic | 3.1 | The $1 deposit myth, checked against the real cashier |
| Grand Mondial | 3.0 | The same wheel as its sisters at five times the price |
| Yukon Gold | 2.9 | 150 chances on a game the marketing never names |
| LeoVegas | Not rated | Licensed for Ontario only; refuses the rest of Canada |
For all nine side by side, with offers, wagering multipliers and minimums in one table, see the casino reviews hub.
Something on one of these pages out of date or wrong? The casinos change their offers without notice, and this site would rather correct a page than defend it. Every review carries the date it was last checked.
Play Responsibly
The reviews on this site exist to make gambling's fine print visible, and the most important line of fine print is your own limit. Decide it before you deposit, use the casino's tools or its support desk to set it, and treat every bonus as marketing until you have read its terms.
